I have always loved oak trees, in this glass panel I have used glass carving techniques to create the shape and textures of the leaves and the acorns. A transparent green glass is used and because the glass is carved the piece has a simple elegance yet it still retains depth and lightplay within the design.
This piece is freestanding and works well in a range of positions. You have the choice of a UK craftsman turned oak base which has been oiled to bring out the full beauty of the wood grain or you could choose a beautiful lakeland slate base that has been made for this piece in Cumbria by a renowned craftsman. These bases are shown in the pictures please indicate when ordering which base you would like.

Slate base size is approx: 170 mm x 50mm x 35mm
This glass panel arrives in a gift box and the base is wrapped in acid free tissue paper. All packaged well for delivery.
