Created on tinted irridescent glass, crushed and cut glasses are used to depict this unmistakable bird before the piece is fired in a kiln, 20 hrs passing from entering the kiln to being cool enough to remove. The fired piece is full of texture and catches the light beautifully. It is then framed into the white box frame that you see in the images. No two pieces of my glass art are ever exactly the same, even if I repeat the design the way the glasses are applied and fired is different every time.
This box framed piece can be either freestanding upright on its deep edge or tilted back using the built in stand or wall mounted.
